Palestinians received international support in the UN

Palestinian diplomats received international support in the UN complaint that Jewish settlements in Palestinian territories are illegal, but their request to address the issue in the Security Council of the World Organization met strong resistance from the U.S.. It said "Deutsche Welle". Representatives from dozens of countries supported the Palestinian complaint against the construction of Jewish settlements at a time when peace talks are stalled.

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said his government would not intervene in the case against the founder of the notorious website Wikileaks Julian Assange and affect in any way for his extradition to the United States. This RIA Novosti reported.

Bin Laden: France will pay

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden said in a video today that the release of French hostages in Niger depends on whether France will withdraw from Muslim lands, AP, citing Al Jazeera TV. In the record bin Laden warned that positions defended Sarkozy 'may have dire consequences for France.

South Korean commandos freed captured ship

South Korean special forces stormed the freighter hijacked by pirates in the Arabian Sea, rescued the entire crew and killed eight of the hijackers, AP reported. Five others were captured, but only one of the sailors was injured. Direct attacks against Somali pirates was conducted in the waters between Oman and Africa week after the kidnapping of "Samho Dzhulari", which has eight South Koreans, two Indonesians and 11 citizens of Myanmar.

Three more Egyptians samozapaliha today, apparently inspired by events in Tunisia, which led to the overthrow of President Zine al Abidine Ben Ali, Reuters reported, citing medical officials and sources of security forces. 35-year-old unemployed man suffered severe burns after being explosive.

Mafia murder in Stavropol

The militia opened today riddled with bullets bodies of eight people in a garage in the Russian city of Stavropol AP. Killed were five men and three women - a local crime boss, his family and servants. Police said the house was found alive baby and 8-month-old girl. Killed were three women and five men.
